Spring has sprung and stupidity is afoot.

April 19 2010: I started calling this "Hothead Week" 15 years ago, when domestic terrorist Tim McVeigh did his thing to Oklahoma City. There are many unfortunate anniversaries that cluster around this particular spot in the calendar. It seems that as the weather turns warmer and nature's beauty is in full display, the worms start wriggling out of their winter slumber and burst forth to remind us that violence is the American Way.

This year, apparently in celebration, a bunch of gun nuts are rallying in the nation's capital to parade their firearms.

I will admit it right now: Yours is SO MUCH bigger than mine. Uncle, uncle! Now put your damn gun away before you hurt somebody -- you know, like that country you claim to love so dearly.
